Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for 2015 Ford F-150 5-1/2 ft Bed

Question:

I have a 2015 F150 with a payload capacity of 1600, a gvwr of 7050, a gvwr of 16100 and a towing capacity of 10500. The fifth wheel rv I’m looking at has a dry weight of 8500, a gvwr of 9900, and a pin weight of 1295. So I’m wondering if this is something that is in my capacity to tow?

Yes, it looks like you'd be near the upper limit of your towing capacity, but as long as you stay under the capacity of 10,500 lbs with your truck you'd be fine. For a fifth wheel rail kit confirmed as a fit for your 2015 Ford F-150 the kit you'd want is the part # RP50087-58 which is a custom fit kit.

If you have a 6-1/2 foot bed you'd need a slider hitch like the part # C16541 which will give you the turning clearance you'd need.

If you have an 8 foot bed instead you'd want a fixed hitch like the Curt A20 part # C16140 which would work well.
