Troubleshooting Wiring on 2010 Ford Explorer
Question:
2010 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition Factory Tow Circuit Problem - The trailer connector on the back of the vehicle has a 7 pin and 4 pin connector. Both connector outputs work except for the Right Turn/Brake output. That tells me its not the connector. The vehicle Right Turn/Brake lights work and the Left Turn/Brake output and all other outputs work on the trailer connectors. This was verified with a trailer connector tester so I know it is not the trailer wiring. The only fuse I could find in the vehicle is for both trailer outputs and that tests good. Is there a separate module or relay in the vehicle that I could replace to fix the problem?

I took a look at the owner's manual and there are no other relays or fuses that would cause the issue you are having; I would start just by verifying that the fuse in location 7 is correctly rated at 15 amps. Also make sure you test the right turn/brake wire going in to your connector; if there is no signal that means the issue is with the vehicle wiring and it is likely going to be a crimped, broken or otherwise damaged wire that you will need to locate and fix accordingly.
