Troubleshooting Brake Controller Install Where Red Wire Does Not Have Voltage

I have no power on my red wire at any moment

The red wire of a brake controller is for the stoplight circuit. This circuit needs to have 12 volts when the brakes are applied and none when they are released. Typically it's a matter of finding the right circuit to attach this to. If that is verified and the connection is solid the first place to check is the third brake light fuse of the vehicle as typically when that goes out the red wire of a brake controller will stop working as well.
