Trailer Wiring for 2005 Dodge Ram
Question:
My truck has the factory tow package but my relays for my factory 7 pin plug are bad and according to the dealer they are unchangeable. They are built into the fuse box and soldered into the circuit board. I know that the part Im asking about plugs into the connections for the tail lights under the bumper so my question is that since my 7 pin wires are on different relays and different wiring than my tail lights and every other light on my truck would this be a solution to bypass factory trailer wiring? I have absolutely no issues with my tail lights or connectivity with any other wiring other than my 7 pin setup which like I said is on its own system.

Are you saying your factory 7-way is not working due to bad relays on your 2005 Dodge Ram? If so the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55504 should allow you to add a 4-flat but I cannot guarantee it will work if there is an internal issue with the wiring.
This harness plugs into connection points behind your Ram's tail lights if there are any connectivity issues with your relays I would not be able to guarantee this would bypass those.
