Are there Replacement Wheels with a 4 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern for a 1965 Aristrocrat LoLiner
Question:
Hi, I purchased my vintage trailer over a year ago and am going nuts trying to find replacement wheels. Looking for 3 wheels, one of the ones on the trailer has seen too many curbs and there isnt one for a spare ~ that said thinking might as well replace all of them. My problem is, the lug pattern is 4X4.5 which Im having issues finding. To add to my frustration I would love the ones I do find to accommodate baby moons. Any feedback would be appreciated.

A 4 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern is super uncommon as you have found out. Old Mustangs of the same era used that bolt pattern. Since they are so hard to find I strongly recommend replacing the hubs so you will have a common bolt pattern and easy to find replacement parts. There are even some trailer wheels that will accept the baby moon hub caps.
To determine if there are modern hubs that will fit your vintage trailer I will need to know the inner and outer bearing numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings. If you cannot get those numbers then you can take measurements of the spindle and I can go by that. the measurements have to be as accurate as possible, to the thousandth of an inch, so calipers should be used. I included a picture showing where to measure.
In the even that there are no modern hubs that will fit the next step would be to replace the axle(s) with new ones. If it comes to that I can explain how to go about choosing the right replacement.
