Trunk Mount 2 Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2010 Honda Civic For Use Every Weekend
Question:
Can you recommend a trunk bike rack for a 2010 Honda Civic no spoilker. It would carry two adult bikes with straight not handelbars. Use is every weekend - none during the week. Thanks!

If I were using a bike rack every weekend and removing it during the week, I would opt for a hitch bike rack and receiver hitch for my 2010 Honda Civic. A hitch mounted rack will be much easier to install and remove, will allow access to the trunk when installed and will not damage the finish on the back of the vehicle like a trunk mounted rack can, especially if it is installed and removed a lot.
The Curt Trailer Hitch, # C11391, is an economical hitch choice that is not that difficult to install, see video and instructions link, and the Swagman XC bike rack, # S64650, is easy to install, folds compact for storage during the week, and holds 2 bikes securely and will not allow them to contact each other or the rear of the vehicle causing damage. You will also need the stabilizer strap # 18050.
If you still would like a trunk mount bike rack I believe the way to go is the Thule OutWay 2 Bike Carrier, # TH45JV, which I recently had a chance to install on a vehicle. This is the easiest to install and remove trunk mounted carrier, especially after the initial setup, that I have ever installed. We also have a video showing this rack being installed for you to review. Just be sure the the attachment points on the vehicle and bike rack are clean before installing the rack each time.
