Will this hitch work on a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport with 4WD, 4.0 L six SOHC engine and a full size spare tire? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Class II 2-Inch Hitch, part # 75096, will fit your 2000 Ford Explorer 4WD with the factory OEM full size spare tire.
When installing the hitch the spare tire is loosened to allow the hitch to line up with the holes on the frame and it is re-tightened after the hitch is installed. If your vehicle is equipped with tow hooks, they will need to be removed. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Draw-Tite hitch.

Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, part # 118345, or Tow Ready Wiring Harness, part # 118241, if you have a factory tow package.
I am including a couple of links to the installation instructions on the wiring harnesses and a video link to the # 118241 wiring harness being installed on a 2000 Explorer.
