Installing an Auto Changeover Regulator on a 2018 Jayco Jay Feather Travel Trailer

Question:

I have purchased a dual 20lb propane mount for the frame. I need to purchase an Auto change over valve. My stock single valve is located on a bracket just under the front of the unit and currently feeds a single hose to one tank. My question is, do I have to remove the single valve OR can I leave it inline and purchase a hose to go from it to the Auto change over valve, which will be mounted in between the tanks? If I have to remove the original single valve I will have to either extend the main hose that feeds the Travel Trailer or extend the pigtails on the Auto change over valve so that they can reach the two tanks. If at all possible i would like to leave the original valve and get a hose that runs from the original valve to the Auto change over valve I need to purchase. Does this make sense? Thanks,

For an auto changeover propane regulator, I recommend using the Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator part # CAM59005. In order to install this regulator on your trailer you will need to attach each of your tanks to either side of the regulator with a hose like the Camco Propane Supply Hose part # CAM59053 (12"), part # CAM59065 (15"), or part # 100473-20-MBS (20").

The regulator will need to be mounted fairly close to the tanks and then the lead hose can carry the propane into the trailer. You cannot t the lines into one another when using an auto changeover regulator. I have attached review videos for you.
