Correct Tire Pressure for Trailer Tires

Question:

Thanks for your response, but I only have a palomino pop up tent trailer that doesnt way very much. Does your answer also apply to this such trailer?

Expert Reply:

It should be 50 psi if that is what is on your tire's sidewall; on any trailer tire you always want to inflate the tire to the maximum cold psi. Doing this will give you the best performance, allowing the tire to wear more slowly and give you optimum gas mileage.

It does still apply, even if your pop-up trailer doesn't weigh very much. The max psi that is listed on your tires is still going to be what gives you the best overall performance.
