TireMinder RV Tire Pressure Monitoring System Function for PSI and Temperature

Question:

I have a fifth wheel RV with 2 axles. I have had a lot of tire problems. My tire dealer has installed a different tire on one wheel. It is a Hercules 105 all steel. Its pressure is 105 psi. The other 3 tires are Hercules but have a pressure of 80 psi. So far everything is going well. Will the difference in pressures cause a monitoring problem?

Expert Reply:

The TireMinder RV Tire Pressure Monitoring System for Smartphone - Signal Booster - 4 Transmitters # TPMS-APP-4 will not have any issue with monitoring your tires individually. The pressure range that can be monitored is 0 to 232 psi. This will help you to monitor each tire individually for pressure and temperature.

The leading cause of tires problems is overheating due to under or over inflation and speeds exceeding the tire rated speed maximum. I definitely don't recommend having different tires on the same axle as that will cause uneven wear on both tires. You want your tires to run at their max psi listed on the tire when filled cold.

I've attached an article to further assist with common trailer tire questions.
