Ideal Ground Clearance for Roadmaster Roadwing 4400 Mudflap System

When cutting the mudflaps how much ground clearance from bottom of the flap should I allow for?

Ideally with rubber mudflaps like the RoadMaster RoadWing Removable Mud Flap System for Full Size Trucks # RM-4400 you'll have 3-4 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the flap to the ground.
