Difficulty Installing and Removing Trunnion Bars on Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System
Question:
I have to lift the trailer and truck a lot to get the bars on the cam. Then when removing them i have to lift the truck and trailer a lot and use a hammer to get the bars to let go of the cam. would it help to tilt the ball forward which would lift the bars farther off the ground?

On your Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control # RP66083, tilting the ball will absolutely help. We actually have an article to assist with the fit and installation of that system that I've attached to assist. The Spring bar angle up toward the frame is okay with this system.
