Is the Trailer Hitch for a 2018 Toyota Prius Easy to Install

I would like to install a trailer hitch on my Prius to hold a bike rack. I am handy. Is it reasonably easy to install the hitch?

The correct trailer hitch you will want to use on your 2018 Toyota Prius is the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24966. This trailer hitch is a custom fit for your Prius and uses pre drilled holes in the frame. The installation process is rated at a level 10 taking on average around two hours. The process is not difficult by any means, it is just time consuming as you have to remove the rear lower bumper fascia.

If you are handy and have some free time then I see no reason as to why you could not do this yourself. We even have an install video for this exact hitch on a 2018 Toyota Prius which you can use to either help with your install or determine if you are capable. There is also a very detailed install manual which I have attached for you.

If you would like a bike rack recommendation as well then please provide me with what type of bike(s) you will be carrying. You will also want to note that the carrier must be rated for use on a Class I trailer hitch.
