Drop Shank Recommendation to Allow Trailer With Weight Distribution to Tow Level
Question:
We recently bought a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Our hitch we have is a 1 1/2 inch wide shaft/shank for our setupweight distribution system. The jeep sits up to high for our camper. Our camper is 1997 flagstaff 25ld, so it sits low to the ground already. When we hook it up to our Jeep, it makes the back end of camper lower to the ground. The camper is not even, more weight is on the back of camper instead of the tongue. We need a shank/shaft long enough to make it more level and weight to balance out.

Sounds like what you need is a shank for your weight distribution system to allow it to carry the nose of your trailer lower so that it's level. The good news is that weight distribution shanks are basically all universal so you can use a Curt shank like the # C17123 for additional drop or if you need quite a bit of drop part # C17124.
