Will a Trailer Hitch for a 2015 Subaru Forester Fit a 2017 Subaru Forester

Hello, Im wondering if a used 2015 factory hitch for a Subaru Forester XT would fit a 2017 Subaru Forester. Would it be possible to mount it myself? Im then looking at getting a Saris Thelma 3 bikes, Yakima Hold Up 2 bikes, or a 1 up 2 or 3 bikes. Any recommendations between the three? Thanks,

I have good news for you! The trailer hitch for a 2015 Subaru Forester is the same as the one for a 2017 Subaru Forester so the factory trailer hitch you have should work for you. You would just need to obtain the appropriate fasteners needed to install it on your vehicle which can usually be found at your local hardware store. Unfortunately, we do not install factory trailer hitches so I would not be able to inform you of the installation process but the option we have for you in the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75876 is estimated to take a novice around 40 minutes.

For a bike rack, I really like the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack part # Y02443 because each wheel tray has a slide that can be adjusted to prevent bike to bike contact and accommodate bikes with longer handlebars. It also comes with locks for both the bike and rack in addition to an anti-rattle feature to minimize movement. The two bike add-on is available with part # Y02446.
