Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2015 Volvo XC60 without a Roof Rack or Trailer Hitch
Question:
2015 Volvo xc60 I am looking for a bike rack for my car. I dont have roof rails or a hitch on this one so I need advice on what will work best for my vehicle. What product do you recommend and what is the maximum amount of bikes that it can handle?

Other than the roof and a hitch the other way to carry bikes on your 2015 Volvo XC60 would be a trunk/hatch mounted carrier. There are 1 and 2-bike carriers available.
If you need to carry more than 2 bikes I recommend going with a trailer hitch and using a hitch mount bike rack. And should you ever need to tow a trailer or use a cargo carrier for extra storage space you will have the hitch ready to go.
If you are interested in a hitch I recommend Draw-Tite hitch # 75671. Once installed only the receiver tube will be visible. Take a look at the video I have linked showing an example installation.
With a hitch you will be able to carry 4 or 5 bikes. For a 4 bike rack the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR is one of the most popular options. I have linked a video of this rack for you.
For 5-bike racks Curt rack # C18065 and the Thule Apex XT # TH9026XT are 2 popular choices. We have a video on the Curt.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
