Installing Optronics Rectangular Trailer Clearance Side Marker Light # MC48RB

Under you recommendation I ordered part #MC48RB to replace my current clearance lights. They arrived quickly and well packaged, thank you. Upon inspection i see they have a foam rubber back plate. My question is When I install is there any sealant or caulking needed? Thx for your time

The foam pad on the back of the Optronics Rectangular Trailer Clearance Light # MC48RB is designed to provide a tight seal and softer mounting surface when installing the assembly on the trailer. Unless you need to cover up any holes or space around the light, you do not need to use sealant or caulk. You will just need to screw in the light using the two surface mounts on the assembly.
