When looking for a roof cargo basket for your 2002 Ford Excursion you simply need to measure the distance between the center of your front crossbar to the center of your rear crossbar. Cargo baskets typically have a crossbar spread range that they are compatible with.

If you are looking for a great basket that will cover a large portion of your roof then the Yakima MegaWarrior # Y07080-82 is hard to beat. It measures 74" long x 48" wide x 6-1/2" tall and is compatible with crossbar spreads from 36" - 60". This basket comes with a wind fairing and an adjustable bar for the inside of the basket to stabilize cargo. I have attached a review video for you to check out.
