Installing Sway Control Cam Brackets For Strait-Line Weight Distribution System
Question:
I noticed the video shows the cam arm assembly mounted where the cam arm is closest to the hitch while the install instructions are reversed where the cam arm is closest to the hanger bracket as the cam arm is not centered to the mounting bracket. Which is correct?

When setting up the dual cam assemblies for the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System # RP66074, you will just want to make sure the distance from the center of the hitch ball to the center of the cam arm pivot bolt is correct per the installation instructions (19-3/8 inches for a standard coupler). Also make sure that the chain coming down from the hanger bracket is as straight up and down as possible.
As long as this is done correctly, it does not matter where exactly the cam arm lines up in relation to the frame plate. In fact, the instructions do state that the orientation can be changed if needed and provides an example a few pages later. I have attached a couple images from the instructions to clarify this.
