Which is Better Pro Series Weight Distribution or Reese Strait-Line
Question:
I recently purchased a 28foot Airstream Flying Cloud. It has a gross trailer weight of 7600lbs and a hitch weight of 899lbs. I will be towing it with a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel with an added Air Lift 5000 suspension. I am looking at two Weight Distribution/Anti-sway systems. The first, Reese Item # RP66084, and the other Pro Series Item # PS49583. Other than some difference in gross weight and tongue weight, both of which are rated for my trailer is there a true benefit of the Reese over the Pro Series that would justify the increase in cost? Thank you. Luke

The Reese Strait-Line part # RP66084 will give you a much better overall weight distribution system than the Pro Series # PS49583. Basically Reese's Strait-Line series is there top of the line option and the Pro Series is the entry level option.
The Reese will give you a much better sway control setup that works to fight sway before it starts whereas the Pro Series only can minimize it once it's started. Also the spring bars of the Reese are trunnion style which will offer better ground clearance than the round bars of the Pro Series.
