How to Prevent Exhaust Rattle After Trailer Hitch Install on a 2006 Toyota Sienna
Question:
I purchased a Curt hitch for my Toyota Sienna 2006 and it is installed and working, but now my tail pipe sometimes vibrates against the part of the hitch that goes near it. Is there anything I can do to stop that from happening? thanks,

Expert Reply:
Yes, what you are going to want to do is place a large pry bar between the hitch/exhaust hangers and bend them slightly just enough to prevent the exhaust from contacting the hitch. This is rather common as the exhaust placement from the factory can vary ever so slightly. If you need a more in depth explanation then we do have a help article which I have attached for you on this very same procedure. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
