Power Wire Connection Point Location for Tow Ready Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2011 Toyota Prius

Do you really need to run the power wire under the car to the front?

Apparently on a 2011 Toyota Prius, the battery is located in the rear cargo area. it is underneath the floor covering in the rear corner of the cargo area. Take a look at the installation details for the Tow Ready Wiring Harness, # 118505, which shows the battery location.
