Recommended Fairing for Rhino-Rack 54 Inch Square Bars on 2008 Chevy Silverado

Question:

Have a 2008 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab. Bought the 54inch Rhino roof rack complete kit Fantastic Product! Bought the square Euro-style extruded crossbars version for a heavy canoe and a large kayak. Wind noise at highway speeds is so bad I need to remove the rack when not needed. Now that summer is here, want to leave rack on the truck. Will this Fairing Fit my set up... interior space between supports is 43 1/4. Thanks!

The Rhino-Rack 50 Inch Long Fairing # RRRF4 referenced in your question should work nicely with the 54 inch Rhino Rack Square Crossbars on your 2008 Chevy Silverado. The overall length of the mounting clips, from outside to outside, is right at 43 inches with this model fairing. This is pretty close to the 43-1/4 inch measurement you took between the crossbar supports on your Silverado's roof, so you may just want to verify that this is correct.

If you find that it's a bit smaller, you may need to go down to the 44 Inch Long Fairing # RRRF3. This 44 inch long fairing measures 35-1/2 inches from outside to outside on the mounting clips so it will fit without issue.

The Rhino-Rack Fairing will certainly reduce the noise you are experiencing with the crossbars, as they will deflect air around the square bars during travel. I have attached a short video demonstration that you can also check out.
