Will A 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter Work With A Genco Truck Bed With the Ball Recessed
Question:
I have a genco bed on my 2014 GMC 2500 HD diesel truck. The ball is recessed in the bed. The dimensions are 13 inch by 13 inch where the ball sets. There are tool boxes on the side. They only come up 7 and a 1/2 in from the bed of the truck. If I buy a fifth wheel trailer can I install one of your gooseneck arms that bolts onto the trailer for this truck.

I reached out to my contact at Reese and they advised me that the 13” square will be very tight. If the boxes are 7.5” above the bed, there will not be any issues.
When choosing a 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck adapter like # RP85FR, they are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one. There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.
