In order to determine what the towing capacity of your 2000 Dodge Durango is you will need to consult the owners manual of your vehicle.
When determining what weight distribution system to use the most important thing you will need to know is the tongue weight of your trailer. I attached an FAQ on weight distribution systems that details how to determine tongue weight of a trailer for you to check out.
Once you determine the tongue weight of your setup you will be ready to pick out a weight distribution system. You will want to pick a system that has a weight capacity that encompasses the tongue weight of the trailer you will be towing when loaded.
Typically tongue weight is 10-15% of the gross trailer weight. So 15% of 6,010 is 902 lbs. so you would want a system like a Strait-Line Weight Distribution System # RP66084 that has tongue weight capacity of 1,200 lbs. I attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out also.
