Best Roof Rack and Cargo Basket for a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo  

Question:

Was wondering if I can put a rack and cargo basket on my Jeep if it just has these black plastic rails? If so I’m looking for a low profile rack and a cargo basket. Thanks!

The best roof rack for your application is the Thule Aero Bar roof rack. This consists of the WingBar Evo bars # TH711520 Black or # TH711500 Silver along with the Traverse Foot Pack # TH480R and the Fit Kit # THKIT1656. The AeroBlade bars cut down on wind noise and drag compared to more traditional options.

When it comes to a roof basket I highly recommend the Rhino-Rack Steel Cargo Basket # RMCB02. This is 57" long x 42" wide and is compatible with crossbar spreads from 25-1/2" to 43" so it will fit perfectly with the roof racks mentioned above. It also features a wind fairing to help cut down on wind noise and drag.
