Finding Cold Side of Brake Light Switch on 2011 Toyota Sienna
Question:
2011 Toyota Sienna I do not have the tester that come with your kit and need to get this happening before the part would arrive if I ordered it! Can you find the cold side of brake pedal switch with a multi meter? It looks like the blue wire but i don’t want to make a mistake if this isn’t correct!

You can certainly use a multimeter like # PT89ZR to find the cold side of the brake light switch on your 2011 Toyota Sienna. You are right in not wanting to rely solely on wire color for this installation, as vehicle manufacturers often change the colors they use at the factory. It is always best to test for function even if you are 99.999% sure you know the correct wire to connect to your brake controller.
With your multimeter you are simply looking for the wire above the brake pedal that only receives power with the brake pedal depressed, and no power with any other function. Based on my research it does indeed appear that it's likely the blue wire on your Sienna so you can start by testing this one.
