Removing Gutter Mounted Thule Towers With Knob Lock

Question:

I have the Thule square bar rack with the round gutter mount foot pack, I think its maybe 300? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to take these things off! Please helppppp!

If you have the Thule Gutter Feet, 5" High (Qty 4) # TH300R, then to remove the roof rack you will first need to see if you have the lock cylinders like # TH450400. If you have them then you will need to unlock the knobs to make the knob usable to loosen the rack. If you don't have the key number and have the newer locks, then you will need to drill out the lock cylinder or contact a locksmith. If you have the older style lock cylinder with a number printed on it let me know and we can get you a replacement key.

Once the lock core is removed, then you will simply remove the knob and that will loosen the clip on the back of the gutter. Once loose on both sides, you can lift up and remove the crossbar along with the towers. I've attached a video and the installation instructions to assist with the removal which is basically the reverse of what you see in the video.
