Starting with the 7-Way for your 2011 Honda Pilot, I recommend the Tekonsha T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118288. This custom harness will plug right into the factory port located behind the rear bumper of your Pilot and provide you with a 7-Way connector. This particular kit includes the fuses and relays needed to activate the tow package so the 7-Way will be fully functional.
I have attached the written installation instructions that you can also check out.
Then for the brake controller, I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This is an excellent proportional controller that will activate the brakes on your trailer at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your Honda Pilot.
To install the controller, you can use the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3070-P. One end of the adapter will plug into the brake controller itself and the other end will connect to the factory port beneath the dash of your Pilot. I have attached an installation video to assist.
