Will Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System Work with UFP Surge Brake Actuator A-160
Question:
Can I use this with my UFP A160 actuator?
asked by: Martin
Expert Reply:
From my research the UFP A-160 actuator cannot be used with a weight distribution system so you won't be able to use the Reese Steadi-Flex, part # RP66560.
In order to use any weight distribution system I recommend replacing your actuator with an updated unit like the Titan # T4750720. The Titan works with disc brakes, has a higher capacity than your UFP, and even matches the same bolt hole dimensions.
Since the straight-tongue trailer you also will need a pole tongue adapter to use weight distribution. I've linked our selection so you can choose the appropriate adapter for you.
