Replacement 7-Way on 2001 Dodge Ram 1500
Question:
I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with factory 7 pin trailer wiring. According to my research the following T-Connectors will work with my vehicle. CURT 55381, Tekonsha 118381, Reese Towpower 85253 I need to replace the factory 7 pin connector as the cover is broken. I have a Hopkins cant find the part number part that has screw in terminals. What I am looking for is a pigtail that has the male connector that I can plug into the factory socket and the other 7 wires I can attach to the screw terminals on the Hopkins part I have. Is there such an animal in existence that I can use instead of cannibalizing one of the T-Connectors listed above.

So you have the factory 7-way on your 2001 Dodge Ram and are looking to replace it? For that all you would need is the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Trailer Connector # HM42190; the wiring harness plugs into your factory wiring and the 7-way plugs into the harness.
There is also the Multi-Plug T-One Connector Assembly for 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 20135 which also just plugs in and allows you to have both a 7-way and 4-way available for your '01 Ram.
