Universal 5th Wheel Kit for a 2010 Nissan Frontier SE

Question:

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I saw that you recommended the Reese universal install kit RP30035. I do see a Curt rail kit on your site that is much less expensive and appears to have most of the same parts. Its the Curt C16100 Do you think that one would work as well (Anderson Hitch + 2010 Nissan Frontier long bed - 6ft bed).

The best option we have for you to use the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # AM3200 in the bed of your 2010 Nissan Frontier SE would be to use the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit part # RP30035. This kit works with a variety of different makes and models. You will however need to drill into the frame in order to install the brackets.

I recommend using the formula below in order to make sure you have proper turning clearance. The Andersen Ultimate does have two points of adjustment to move the pivot point further away from the cab but this does not guarantee that you will have adequate training clearance for your truck so I do recommend checking beforehand.

(A + B) - C = Clearance

A = Distance from center of fifth wheel hitch jaw to truck cab
B = Length of Pin Box
C = Width of trailer divided by 2 (to get half)

The Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails with Installation Kit part # C16100 will work for your Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # AM3200 and with a bit of modifications, should work with your 2010 Nissan Frontier SE as well. The kits are essentially the same besides brand. We have more feedback with the Reese kit but with cost in mind I am sure the Curt kit will perform equally as well.
