Are Two Anti-Rattle Devices Needed When Using Brophy Reducer Sleeve on 2 Inch Hitch
Question:
Do I need two anti-rattle devices w/the HT02 in a Torklift EcoHitch? I will be using the HT02 with a Torklift EcoHitch on a 2017 Subaru Outback 2.5i Premium, and carrying a Curt 20 x 48 1 1/4 in mesh cargo carrier. The Subaru is unibody construction, so carrier vibration needs to be minimized.

Helpful Expert Reply:
In order to reduce movement with both the Hitch Reducer's # HT02 connection with the 2 inch receiver on your Subaru Outback and the cargo carrier's connection to the reducer sleeve, using two different anti-rattle devices will indeed be your best option.
I recommend using the Let's Go Anti-Rattle Receiver Lock # 63232 for the 2 inch receiver on your vehicle and the Anti-Rattle Receiver Lock # SHP2082 for the reducer sleeve's receiver. These anti-rattle devices use a block and spring to pull the shank against the receiver side wall to eliminate rattle and movement. They will also lock each connection to the vehicle to help deter theft of your investments.
I have attached a couple short video demonstrations on these products that you can also check out.
