Will the Solera Slider (Slide-Topper) Fit a 4.5 Inch Tall Flashing

Question:

I have a 2001 Komfort 5th Wheel with a 7 foot slide out. The flashing is 4.5 inches wide. If I place the mounting plate for the roller arm up next to the top flashing as shown in the installation video, will the top of the roller extend above the flashing? I cant find any measurement information to help with this question. Thanks.

The height of the torsion arm will play a part in determining if the 4.5" flashing you have on your RV will work with the Solera 7.5' Slider (Slide-Topper) in White part # LCV000163287. However, this will be very difficult to measure as the position that the awning rail is placed will also play a large factor. I recommend placing the awning rail along the line where the roof and wall meet instead of the minimum 3" above the upper edge as this should give you the necessary clearance you need for your 4.5" flashing.

I called my contact at Lippert to confirm the above information for you as well. The 4.5" flashing you have now is not extremely uncommon so I do believe this system will work for you. Please keep in mind that the above awning is designed to work with a box width range of 80" to 85-3/4". The box width range is measured from the outside of each flange.
