I will be happy to help you out. I did some checking and there are 88 possible configurations of the 2016 Toyota Tundra. To determine the capacity of your specific model you will need to know:
1) The model code (indicated on the Certification Label)
2) With or without towing package
3) If it has the towing package does it also have the larger than normal fuel tank
4) The engine version
5) 2 or 4-wheel drive
6) Bed length
7) Cab style
Once you know the above information you can go to page 162 of the owner's manual and locate the configuration that you have to get the towing capacity. In the towing capacity charts in the owner's manual the very last column is the most that the trailer can weigh (TWR they call it). The second to last column is the maximum that the truck and trailer can weigh together, the gross combined weight rating or GCWR.
No matter which configuration you have you can install custom 5th wheel kit # RP50084-58. For a hitch for long bed models you can use # RP30047. this is a basic 5th wheel hitch with a dual-jaw design rated for 16,000 pounds. For something a little nicer I recommend the Curt A16 # C16120 which features a cushioned head.
If you have the 6-1/2 foot bed then you will need a slider hitch. Again for something standard in the 16K capacity Reese # RP30051 is a solid option. The Curt slider version of the A16 is # C16521.
And if you have the 5-1/2 foot bed I recommend Demco 13K auto-slider # DM8550040. This is the only hitch I recommend for the 5-1/2 foot bed since it travels 22-1/2 inches for clearance when making turns making it much less likely for the trailer and truck cab to come into contact with each other. If you did not use this hitch you would need to use a fixed hitch and replace the pin box on the trailer with a Sidewinder pin box. It is easier and costs less to just go with the 13K Demco HiJacker.
