How to Carry a Rollator Walker on a 2014 Mini Cooper
Question:
Will this bike rack accommodate a folding rollator walker The price point for the rollator walker rack is out of our price point. Also, I would prefer a rack that can be multi-purpose rather than for one specific item, as the walker is for my 94 yo mother to increase her outside home trips.

There is a possibility that you could attach your Rollator Walker to the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack part # Y02634 but I would not be able to confirm this as that is not the intended purpose of the bike rack. If it were possible then you would more than likely need an adapter bar like part # Y02531 but again I cannot recommend this as it has not been tested.
Instead, I recommend using a trailer hitch and cargo carrier as this would be a much safer option for you and it can be acquired at a similar cost to the FullBack. For the trailer hitch I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11417 which is a custom fit that will not require any drilling. However, this hitch will only work for you if you have a hardtop model with single exhaust and not the S Series or John Cooper Works edition.
Then for a cargo carrier I recommend the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18145 which will have no trouble securing your walker. It will also be much easier to load this way as well in comparison to the bike rack. You will however need to use the Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap part # 18050 in order to maintain the hitch's warranty. This option will be less cost effective than the bike rack that might work but it is way more versatile in it's function. It will also be a lot more safe/secure.
