Recommended Tow Bar D-Ring Adapters for 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I have this blue ox alpha tow bar for a 1998 vw jetta now. I am considering getting a 2008 jeep wrangler unlimited that has the D rings on the bumper. My question is will this tow bar work with the D rings or do I have to get a base plate or a different tow bar like a roadmaster brand that works with the D rings?

If the 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has 3/4 inch thick D-ring bumper mounts, then you will need the tow bar adapter brackets # BX88357 and Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380.
Your other option would be to get the Roadmaster Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars - 3/4" Thick # RM-035 or 1 inch Thick # RM-035-1. These adapters will fit both 7/8 and 1 inch diameter holes. However these adapters will not work with a Blue-Ox Tow bar. For these applications, I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 and safety cables # RM-643.
