Can a Pullrite SuperGlide Be Used on a 2016 Ford F250 Long Bed

Question:

Will this hitch be compatible with our truck? Were purchasing a 2014 Fifth Wheel Toy Hauler, and the seller is including this hitch with the sale. Our Ford truck has the factory installed stuffinch underneath the bed of the truck. Will this hitch work to pull the toy hauler?

For starters, the Pullrite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch is a sliding 5th wheel hitch and though it can still be used on a long bed truck, this will create added stress on both the truck and trailer which is not ideal. If the slide feature can be locked then it would be better but if not then I actually recommend using a hitch that is specifically designed for your truck like the B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch part # BWRVK3300 which is considered to be one of the best in the industry. You could then sell the SuperGlide to offset some of the cost.

In regards to compatibility, there are two different types of Pullrite SuperGlide 5th wheel trailer hitches. They have what is referred to as an ISR series which stands for industry standard rails and they have a traditional series. If it is a traditional series hitch then there would be no way to use this with the factory puck system you have in the bed of your 2016 Ford F250. However, if it is an ISR series then you can use the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter part # RP30156 to make it work with the factory pucks in your bed.
