Softride Tailgate Bike Carrier Padding

Question:

Hello, I acquired a softride tailgate pad, and after a trip, i noticed that it has started rubbing the clearcoat off of my tailgate where the forks of the bikes rest. Do you have any recommendations to fix this? Thanks for taking the time to help me out!

Though there are no products made specifically to fix the rubbing on the tailgate that is happening with the Softride Shuttle Pad Tailgate Bike Carrier # SR26457 you should be able to put some type of extra padding underneath that can help. Anything non-abrasive like a blanket would be your best option, so long as it gives you a bit of extra padding it should help; the Non-Skid Protection Pad # RL100650 is also a good option to help your pad from sliding around and possibly rubbing the clearcoat off.
