What is the Difference Between 2 and 4 Point Sway Control
Question:
Is it better to have a 2-point or 4-point hitch and why?

A four point sway control system like the one on the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System will do a much better job of effectively managing trailer sway in comparison to a two point sway control system like the one on the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System. The Fastway and Equal-i-zer systems both have friction points on the frame brackets but the Equal-i-zer system also has friction points where the trunnion attaches inside the head. The added friction points are going to provide more sway control.
In order to select the correct system you will need to add the loaded ready to tow tongue weight of the trailer by any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. This is referred to as total tongue weight (TTW). Personally, I believe the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System is a much better choice but the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System also works well.
I have attached our selection of Fastway and Equal-i-zer systems for you to choose from once you have determined what your total tongue weight (TTW) is.
