For your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, to go with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13065 you chose I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118727. This harness plugs into your Jeep Grand Cherokee's wiring harness, which is located behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
That harness will be stowed beneath the bumper, so I recommend the mounting bracket # 18144 along with # C57202. Then for a simple ball mount I recommend the ball mount kit # 989900. This will give you different rise and drop options as well as two different hitch balls. If you prefer an adjustable ball mount, then I recommend # C45900 which will give you the different hitch ball options and also the hitch pin. If you want to add locks, you can # C23556.
