Can One 7K Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System Replace Two 3.5K Torsion Axles
Question:
Can I use 1 set of 7000 lb axle-less to replace 2 - 3,500 lb axles on my tandem axle boat trailer?

Expert Reply:
As far as capacity goes you could switch out two 3,500 pound axles for one 7K Timbren Axle-less system such as # TASR7KS01. You would have to place the Axle-Less system right in the middle of where the two axles used to be to make sure the trailer load is properly supported.
You will also need different hubs, wheels, and tires since everything will need to be rated high enough on just the one axle. The hub and drum assembly that is compatible is # 42866UC3-EZ. If the trailer has hydraulic brakes you can use # AKFBBRK-7 for a pair. For electric brakes you can use # AKEBRK-6 for a pair. And for a compatible tire and wheel combo you can use # AM34903.
