Amp Power Requirements for Vent Motors
Question:
Would an 8 amp 12 Volt DC lighting inverter exceed fan motor capacity if wired directly to the fan motor and bi-passing processors?

The 12V power requirements for trailer vents and fans will vary so you might want to check the main sticker for your fan or look at the sticker on the motor itself to find the unit's power draw. As an example, the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-07500K draws 5-amps of current from its 12V supply. A great many vent fan motors will draw this or less power and so certainly some will function with your 8-amp supply. Naturally a vent with multiple speed options will draw less power at lower fan speeds.
