Trailer Hitch Fit for 2018 VW Tiguan with AWD and 3rd Row Seating

Question:

VW dealer says hitch cant be installed because from doesnt have enough room for seating and AWD. Do you know of any options for hitch solely for bike rack? Thanks.

I checked with my contacts at Curt and Draw-Tite for hitches confirmed to fit your 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan with AWD and 3rd row seating. Draw-Tite confirmed that they know of no fit issues for their hitch # C13381.

Curt confirms a fit for their USA-made hitch # C13381 on the S, SE, SEL and SEL Premium versions of the 2018 Tiguan.

Sometimes certain features on a vehicle may in fact prevent hitch installation. This might be the placement of the exhaust system or special cosmetic trim packages that would require so much owner modification that hitch makers consider installation of a hitch to be impractical.
