Parts Needed to Install 7-Way on 2017 Kia Sedona
Question:
Hi, I just bought a 2017 Kia Sedona, and am about to purchase the trailer hitch and wiring kit. However, all the wiring kits have 4-pin flat adapters. The trailer that Im towing has a round 7 pin adapter I assume it is 7 pinit is a small boat, and it plugged right into whatever was the standard factory setup on a 4Runner. What parts do I need to get the 7 pin setup, and how do they mount to the round Curt hitch part C13115? The trailer does not have brakes or reverse lights.

Helpful Expert Reply:
To install a 7-way on your 2017 Kia Sedona first requires you to install a 4-way like the Curt kit part # C56332 which is a confirmed, custom fit for your vehicle. Then to convert it to a 7-way for just the taillight functions (since you don't have trailer brakes or reverse lights), all you need is the adapter part # 37185. It has a 4-way that would plug right into the # C56332 and you'd be set.
You'd use the included bracket to attach the 7-way to the lower portion of your vehicle bumper and not to the Curt hitch # C13115.
