Will the Tailgate Lock # PAL8600 Automatically Unlock with Proximity System on a 2018 Honda Ridgline

Question:

So on the ridgeline the doors unlock automatically when you walk close. The trunk also only opens when the key fob is close by. Does this locking mechanism have that capability of unlocking when close by and locking as you walk away.

I spoke with my contact at Pop & Lock who said that if your 2018 Honda Ridgeline is set so only the driver's door unlocks with the proximity sensor then the Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8600 will remain locked. It is tied to the motor so that when everything is unlocked it will also unlock.

She did say that you should be able to change your proximity sensor for all of your doors to unlock when you get nearby if it isn't already set that way. This would unlock this system as well.
