Tow Bar Recommendation for Flat Towing 2014 Jeep Wrangler behind Motorhome

Question:

Hi. I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler 4-door with an aftermarket front bumper that has 1 Dinch rings. I would like to tow it behind a class Ainch motorhome. I need a tow bar and auxiliary braking unit. Several questions: Will a tow bar connect directly to my Dinch rings so I avoid the need for a baseplate? Is there a better style of tow bar? Not sure if I want one that stays with the MH or stays on the jeep. Thanks

For Jeep Wranglers with 1-inch thick D-rings we have the Roadmaster base plate to tow bar adapter part # RM-035-1 which would work well. You'd have to go with a Roadmaster tow bar with this like the Falcon 2 part # RM-520 and you'd be set. This tow bar stores on the vehicle which is basically another way of saying that the shank of it inserts directly into a hitch opening. This is the preferred style so it would be what I would recommend.

The SMI DUO braking system part # SM99251 is the system I would recommend for your vehicle as it is the easiest to install amoung the permanent install style of kits and it works the best. Our installers recommend this on the highest.
