4 to 5-Way Adapter Recommendation for 2007 Nissan Pathfinder Towing Boat Trailer with Surge Brakes
Question:
Hello I have a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder with a 4 pin flat plug. Buying a pontoon with a 5 pin round plug. The fifth pin blue wire for the surge brake cutout when backing up. I ASSUME I need to wire in the backup lights... Please tell me what I can buy. Thank you!

The adapter you need is part # 20036. This will convert your 4-way to a 5-way so that you can activate the reverse lockup solenoid of your trailer with surge brakes. The fifth circuit of this adapter will get ran to the reverse light circuit of your vehicle like in the install video I attached to this page.
