It sounds like you are looking for a weight distribution/sway control (WD/SC) hitch setup with a shank that offers plenty of drop to account for your lifted truck.

We offer systems with and without the shank part and we have plenty of shanks that offer a lot of drop, such as Curt # C17124. Shanks are interchangeable between brands so you can use any 2-inch shank (see the linked page, please) along with any brand of WD hitch.

The key to choosing the right system is knowing the tongue weight (TW) of the fully-loaded trailer, with all gear and supplies loaded. We offer a handy scale to measure, part # e99044.You also want to count any cargo weight in the Ram that sits behind the rear axle, such as a generator, since this will act just like trailer TW. Once you have this fully-loaded total TW figure you can choose a WD hitch. The goal is for your total TW to fall in the middle of the system's operating range. The included article and video on WD systems should be helpful.

So for instance if you had a total TW of 900-lbs a good choice is the Reese Strait-Line # RP66074 since this works over a TW range of 600- to 1200-lbs and because this setup works to prevent sway in the first place. You need to add only a hitch ball such as 2-5/16-inch # 19286 and a shank to complete this system.
