How to Pick Out Electric Brake Assemblies to Replace Hydraulic on Trailer
Question:
Hello, I would like to replace my current hydraulic trailer brakes on my 2005 Jayco Baja 10Z. The trailer VIN is 1UJAJ01G3515Z0192. GAWR = 2500. I believe it is a Dexter Axle. Would you be able to provide me with all of the parts to complete the change over to electric brakes. The trailer already has 7 pin connector so the wiring is easy, just not sure which hubs/brakes/seals and hardware I need to complete the job. Best Regards,

It would be just a matter of picking out the correct brake assembly to replace your hydraulic assemblies.
I can help you find the right assemblies, but I do not know exactly which ones you have on your trailer.
To pick out the correct brake assemblies for your trailer you need to know a few things.
You will want to measure the inner diameter of your hub/drums and the depth of the drums to determine what brake assembly dimensions you need. For example the part # AKEBRK-35R is a 10 inch by 2-1/4 inch thick brake assembly.
You also want to determine what the bolt pattern is of your assembly mounting flange. The standard size is 4 on 4 inch. You also want to determine the axle capacity of your trailer and go with an assembly that has the same rating, the # AKEBRK-35R has a 3,500 lb capacity.
